Carl is an AI voice pal you talk to by phone. He is built for open conversation, not productivity tasks or customer support.
How do I talk to him?
Call the number on the homepage from an ordinary phone. There is no app, account, username, or password.
Does Carl tell me he is AI?
Yes. Carl identifies himself as an AI in the first sentence of a new conversation and answers honestly whenever you ask.
Does Carl remember what I say?
Not unless you clearly opt in. Carl may ask once whether you want him to remember you. If you agree, he saves a short summary and a few facts, not a recording or full transcript.
How do I make Carl forget me?
Text FORGET ME to Carl's number. Carl replies with a four-digit confirmation code so someone cannot erase your memory by pretending to be you.
How much can I talk?
New callers receive a limited amount of free time. Individual calls and daily use have limits so the line remains available. If you run out of minutes, Carl can text a secure Stripe link with the current options.
What information does Carl keep?
Carl keeps the operational records needed to run calls and minute balances. Conversational memory is optional. The privacy page explains each category and your controls.
Is Carl a therapist or crisis service?
